I have a couple of questions for everyone.

The "MySpace" icon apeared out of the blue last night without my having installed anything. Does the BB do that sometimes?

It appears to be a link to download MySpace rather than the actual app. However, since I don't use MySpace, I'd like to remove the icon. But it is not listed under Applications and I cannot remove the icon.

I know I can hide it but I would like to remove it completely.

Does anyone know how?

The icon comes from your carrier and you can hide only.....or change carrier...

I was looking for this same thing. I don't want to just hide it, I want that junk GONE!!! Haha.
So, it is hidden now. Will deleting a service book cause other issues?

Deleting the service book will get rid of it... temporarily. If you ever need to resend your service books, or do a battery pull, it will show up again. It's best to just hide it.

Highlight the icon, press the menu key and select Hide.

you can also use blackberry desktop manager and uninstall myspace

Yes, if the application was installed. The issue here is that the service book was pushed to the device, the application was not installed. DM will not work as you described in this case.
