Default Too Fat to Work???

Please Login to Remove!

I'm speechless.

Family who are 'too fat to work' say xxx163;22,000 worth of benefits is not enough - Telegraph

Excerpt:

... The Chawners, haven't worked in 11 years, claim their weight is a hereditary condition and the money they receive is insufficient to live on.

Mr Chawner said: "What we get barely covers the bills and puts food on the table. It's not our fault we can't work. We deserve more."...

The "money they receive" is the British equivalent of welfare. 30,000 pounds is currently equivalent to $43,347.77 (source: xe.com conversion).

It's sad. This is becoming an epidemic. I am sure once this story or similar ones get more exposure, we will see others claiming "hereditary obesity."

One thing that's bothered me for a while now is seeing young children that are obese. I make it a habit to go to the gym on a regular basis (3-5 times a week). I don't follow a strict diet, but I do watch what I eat. I understand people have legitimate health issues that could cause obesity, but ones that don't will ride this wave to get money for nothing.

What classifies one as "too fat to work?" Are there standards, or is it a case-by-case basis?

I don't know how it works. Maybe one of our British members will chime in.

I can't imagine what someone like Nick Vujicic would say in response to the claim that being fat somehow disqualifies one from work.

They claim that they both cannot lose weigh because healthy food costs too much and that they don't know how to lose weight. I'm glad England has some of the same issues we do over here.

One Bag O' Salad =$3.49.
One bottle WishBone 1000 Island =$1.49.
Call it $5.50 with tax.

Also call it "Lunch for a week".

"We have cereal for breakfast, bacon butties for lunch and microwave pies with mashed potato or chips for dinner," Mrs Chawner told Closer magazine

I'm going to make one point, and one point only. Because if I really get started here, f***, I will NOT be able to stop.

Quote from fat lazy bastards who are ripping off the tax money I pay every month:

----------------------------------------------------

The family claim to spend £50 a week on food and consume 3,000 calories each a day. The recommended maximum intake is 2,000 for women and 2,500 for men.

"We have cereal for breakfast, bacon butties for lunch and microwave pies with mashed potato or chips for dinner," Mrs Chawner told Closer magazine.

"All that healthy food, like fruit and veg, is too expensive. We're fat because it's in our genes. Our whole family is overweight," she added.

----------------------------------------------------

YOU'RE FAT BECAUSE YOU LIVE ON FOOD MADE OF CARBS, SATURATED FAT AND MORE SATURATED FAT.

Grow your own vegetables in the Garden of the free council house you are living in.

Or better still, give me your address. I will chase you bastards around with a metal stick. If I catch you, I hit you. KEEP RUNNING. Rinse and repeat every day. In two months, you won't BE so fat.

You don't want to know how! The information on dieting and exercise is readily available.

I feel kind of bad...I just laughed my ass off at something posted in the "sensitive discussions" area...but now THAT was funny.

I have a better idea to save the UK taxpayers money though; after looking at their pictures, just buy the entire family plane tickets to Ohio-they'd fit right in. They look like every Wal-Mart employee at my local store (not that I go there much).
