Default The application opera mini as attempted to access the network error

Please Login to Remove!

I get this message every time i restart opera mini browser. the model is BB curve on BES 4.1. Options->security->Firewall shows Firewall enabled with red padlock next to it. I'm not sure what else to do to get rid of this message. BB browser that is also installed doesn't give me this error message. I also tried downgrading to opera mini version 3 with no results. I'm not sure where to make appropriate changes either on the device on in IT policy to get rid of the message. Please any suggestions.

thanks

Sounds like you have an IT Policy from your corporate BES that prevents using Opera Mini. You can try editing/double-checking your TCP settings in Options > Advanced Options > TCP so they look like this:

It could possibly be you have the wrong version of Opera installed. You might want to delete it and re-install.

yes, I'm thinking it's something with my BES it policy that's blocking it.
I'm BES admin so I can change the policy if I just knew what to change.
I'm on Verizon. So what settings would i change for this provider. I'm using Opera 4.2 but I tried downgrading to version 3 without any success. BTW, Blackberry browser is working just fine.
Thanks bunch for replying.

I get the same message. I think it has to do with the fact that I installed the unsigned version of OM because the signed version kept giving me an error when I tried to install it.

The only way to get rid of that message is to enable the firewall.
