Why is it when ever my BB gets a battery pull or has to be reset all my BB messenger say that my phone has changed and my pin info needs to be sent to my contact or the list will be erased. Then my whole contact list is in the pending PIN update confirmation tab on BB messenger.

There are a lot of threads on this issue. I had this issue when I upgrades my OS on the Curve. No one found a fix for this...

I have a 8310 on a Rogers wireless network running 4.5 OS that started to do this all of a sudden. I tried deleting all 3rd party apps, restored the phone to factory settings and reinstalled 4.5.108 OS and still its happening to me. Called Rogers and they are sending me a new one. I have OCD when it comes to my Blackberries and nothing pisses me off more then having pending and confirmation pending showing on my BBM.

my pin has only changed once and since that changed never again
my OS is 4.5.0.124

I'm having exactly the same problem.
I have an 8300 BB with OS v4.5.0.81, (though my carrier seem to be sleeping as the newest OS version they support is 4.2.2.265)
I started to have this problem when I upgraded my OS.
I'm wondering if that's why Telcel (My carrier in Mexico) doesn't support that OS.
Same thing happened to me when I upgraded my 8700G to OS v4.5
