I've tried everything to export just the user name and email address with no success. I did place a call with RIM who had me do a OSQL query, but the output was so mangled that it would take me hours to get displayname, email address into an excel spreadsheet. I've looked into the resource kit and found nothing either. Can anyone help - I only want those 2 things. TIA

this is the easiest I could come up with in one line, replace <SQLServer> with your SQL server:

you should be able to import userList.csv into Excel, the -s option is the colums seperator, you can change that to suit.

thank you - I'll give that a try. We don't have a seperate SQL server, it's all local to the BES - will that make a difference?

I highly recommend getting BerryStats or use Big Phil's Blackberry Reporter. Both make reporting for this type of information very quick and easy.

The other possibility would be to use QueryExpress. This will enable you to query the database from a windows app. It doesn't install anywhere, it's a standalone exe.

The query you want is:

select
Right(DisplayName, Len(DisplayName) - CharIndex(',',DisplayName)-1) + ' ' + Left(DisplayName, CharIndex(',',DisplayName)-1) AS UserName,
mailboxSMTPAddr
FROM vUserConfigStats

This will also turn the name into "Michael Mouse" not "Mouse, Michael"
