Ok , I have been lurking around for a while keeping an eye on the Storm and its plusses and minuses and Im curious to see how many are happy now that there have been many fixxes and updates. Can those with Storms reccomend getting one or would you wait for a new model or a different BB on Verizon. Thanks BTW , great site with lots of info. I feel like I will have a head start when I decide to get one!

Even with its qwirks, I love my Storm. Unless you love another model, get the Storm.

I love my Storm. I've had it since December and only had one major issue (the screen clicking issues seen on a lot of the first Storms released). Verizon replaced my first Storm with a brand new one and I've had ZERO major problems. I've done a couple battery pulls for minor fixes but other then that its a great device. The only advice I can give you about picking out a phone, and I'm sure almost everyone here will say the same thing; go to the store and test it out. The demos are there, use them. Try typing both in portrait and landscape mode. Just have fun with the device and then try another model you like. If after all that, you still like the Storm, go for it. It might take you some time to get fully comfortable with it but once you are comfortable with it, you shouldn't have too many major issues. Hope this helps.

The storm is my first BB and I have to admit I love it lol. My only issue is the battery dies to fast (but I do use it a lot lol). Best advise has already been given. Just try them all out for a test drive !

Plumcrazy,

Read the thread on keyboard settings and use the suggested tweaks relayed from Turtzilla from Crackberry.

I crossed from the Curve to the Storm. Once you tweak the settings and get some familiarity with the touchscreen Qwerty, you will be as fast if not faster.

I've had my storm since 2nd day of release and I had a 8830 for a year before that. Frankly, I love my storm more than I did the 8830. Then again, I text and browse the internet quite a bit so the larger screen is a blessing. I've also kept up with all the os upgrades (official and non-official) so most of the original issues I had from the beginning have been resolved. I can only hope that there will eventually be a larger software selection like on the iphone since they have quite a few fun games I wouldn't mind getting for my storm.

The Storm is my first BlackBerry and I don't know how I've lived without a BB this long. I've had my Storm since the day after release and still find myself addicted to it. It has it's bugs, but I've been checking out every beta OS and with each release they're improving by leaps and bounds. I'm currently on .99 and I'm positive the next official release will be incredible!
