no cause a verizon phone uses different radios. Verzion/Sprint use CDMA while ATT/ T-Mobile use GSM.

Short answer is it depends on the phone.

Long answer is Verizon uses CDMA technology and TMO uses GSM. Only the Verizon Storm (BB 9530) can be SIM unlocked to work on GSM but will operate on EDGE only, not 3G. All other Verizon phones cannot work on any GSM network (or on Sprint's network for that matter) as they use a totally different incompatible network technology.
