Default Switching From Blacberry Internet Service To Professional Software

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I'm in the process of moving from the Verizon/Blackberry Internet Service to our very own copy of the Professional Software (4.1.4.17). Users have currently been using Desktop Manager to synch their calendars, tasks, etc..

Before moving users over to the new software, should I synch up their phones one last time.. Wipe them, and then synch them using the new software? Or is wiping them an unnecessary step? I'd like to avoid any duplicates in calendars, etc.. My users are super testy about that

Thanks
David

If phone is synced then uninstall DM and tell them it will work OTA from now on.
Erase contacts/calendar/tasks on phone or wipe it if they have no apps on it.
EA OTA the HH's and all will sync OTA.

Excellent. So uninstall DM, wipe contacts, calendar, and tasks.. Then synch OTA away..

Everything I'm finding says that contacts, calendar, and tasks has to be deleted from DM. Is there a way to delete them from the phone?

Thanks

It's more time consuming to do it form the HH then DM. with DM you can erase the DB containing contacts/calendar/tasks/memos but from the HH you have to erase the actual items and it will take the user quite some time to do it themselves, especially if they are not tech savy.
