I hope this isn't a repeat question, I looked and can't find anything on just maps.

What would you say is the best map app and why? I've been using Google maps I loved it because of the satellite view of the street and any time I leave the south side of Houston I get lost and just pull up my Google map app and find my way home. But now I've downloaded the newest version and its being weird and not wanting to load as fast and showing me a satellite view of the world. When I'm lost I need to see the street I'm on not where South America is. So just wanted to see if there might be something better out there.

Google maps is what I use for the most part. But I also use Nav4All if I need vocal turn by turn directions and instant recalculation.

I have tended to use Google maps...IT WORKS.

But I found a service called amAze gps. It uses your built in gps and a data connection to download maps over internet(like google). It gives you voice guided gps for FREE...They say it is ad supported, and can give you ads based on location, but I haven't see one since I started using it. Good luck

Hey CRAZY...

Like many others, I have both BBMaps and Google Map. However the BB Map application has a great feature that I like - and that is the ability to "Send Location".

If you are giving someone directions you can load the location on the BB Map.

You can then click on options and choose "Send Location".

This can be sent via E-mail or MMS or PIN.

I have used this feature several times to give directions to my home, work and other particular locations.

I inadvertently loaded Google maps the other day and was trying to perform this function and realized how much I have grown attached to that feature because you can not do it in g-maps.

Personally I use Google Maps to find places and do a quick traffic check but if I am truly navigating and want directions with voice to me in the US, nothing beats Telenav. On the Bold the performance has been awesome. It's been updated for the higher screen resolution and GMM has not so the print in GMM is very small.
