hi all. i just downloaded the desktop manager 4.7 in english without media manager from the blackberry site and when the program starts up, it recognizes my phone (8820) with no problems, but the program doesn't work right. there are no pictures for the icons, just the little "pic" icon in the boxes where a picture would normally load. i can't access any of the functions from the main menu. anyone else have these problems? i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. i've tried older versions with and without media manager. nothing seems to work. all i want to do is backup my files and load some apps. please help a blackberry noob!! :(

Might want to try DM 4.3 or 4.6 since you are using XP.
