Until recently I have had my sms setting as keep forever and have messages from early august. I changed the setting to only 2 months now and all the older messages are still there. Will this change at midnight or something and remove the messages older then 2 months? Or am I missing something?

good question.

Remove the battery and reboot, see if those older than two months are still there.

I can't see this being a memory problem with an 8330, unless you have a very large number of apps on the BB.

It still hasn't updated yet and I'm wondering if it actually will? Maybe its just going to keep my new messages for 2 months and the others are just going to sit there. Either way its noo big deal I guess

I have my 8330 set to remove older messages every two months. I think my messages update at the beginning of every month.

Just changed my preferences to 30 days, and I'm having the same issue. Anyone?
