You are cross posting, I answered your question in your other post. Have a little patience people will answer you no need to post the same message all over and start several threads for the same question.

Hardly cross posting my friend. I posted this before my post on the other thread. The post on the other thread was a followup on my previous post.

If you started the thread here then what do you call going to the othe thread and reposting the same question? The point I am making is that if you have patience and use the search you should get your answers. I am not berating you, just trying to educate you to forum procedures.

I appreciate that and I greatly appreciate your help. I am very frustrated trying to get this to work.

Sadly, is still can't figure any of this out.

Where would one go to RUN the handheld manager program? is it on the handheld? on the computer? is it part of Desktop manager? is it an independent program? if so, where can I get it, the link I showed you on the other thread is not for Handheld manager it's for the 7290 handheld sotware (Operating System)

If your BB is running right now it means it has to have an OS installed. If it does once you have the desktop manager installed, you connect the BB via USB, launch the desktop manager, choose options on the top Tabs, and then choose connection settings. Choose USB and then detect, it will ask you if your BB is connected say ok and it will be detected. Once it is detected you will get another icon on your tray it looks like a BB attached to your computer, if you run your mouse over the icon it will say Blackberry Handheld manager. Open it and then check the box on the bottom that says launch manager upon start up. This will load it everytime you start your pc and will always be ready for twhen you make the connection.

And by the way the site you showed me that was ok does have the handheld manager software there, just look for it I have checked the site.

That is as far as I can take this, I do not know how to make the modem work with the laptop, I have a 7250 and it does not work with Verizon so I have not tried to, there are other threads here that discuss this in detail. Good luck.
