Can the storm play mpeg videos? I'm trying to drop it into the media card file and it tells me that the device dosn't support videos or something. Has anybody dropped videos and played them on the device? Does anybody know the exact file formats the storm will play?

Not sure about the copyright issue, but Windows by default will tell you the player cannot play the file.. even though it can. Just load it anyway and see how it works.

I played a xvid encoded tv show and it played fine. 175MB file for half hour show. didn't feel slow or jittery at all. I also encoded topgear in iphone format mp4 (350MB file) and that played fine as well. Seems like they really worked on media player. So far I like the phone.

Is there a better media player available for the device? It dosn't seem to play other formated videos that are in high demand such as .avi and divx

you need to convert videos to mp4, wma or 3pg format. the roxio media manager will do it for you. or you can download a converter like http://www.nidesoft.com/downloads/bl...-converter.exe

i have a bunch of full length movies already converted. wall-e, hitch****, kungfu panda, cloverfield and burn after reading

The Roxio Media Manager blows. Every time I try to copy an avi file to my device I get an error message saying it wasn't able to convert it.

I dropped a 700mb Avi file and it plays fine. Sucks that when you stop half way and come back to it...after phone calls or browser use...its gets super laggy or won't run at all...or starts from the beginning. That sucks compare to a video ipod. I know! its not a ipod...but it should be smooooother.

Can't have it all can we?!~

While playing the video tap the screen. It should show a progress bar that you can tap to the position you want. Same goes for the music player.

I use handbrake and it works great. I have IronMan, Tropic Thunder and Cowboy Bebop converted to mp4 format. With Handbrake you can even setup a Storm profile so that you just need to click on it and the settings are saved. Seems my movies are about 1gb in size.

I just downloaded Handbrake to convert some TV shows. What settings do you use to convert for the Storm?
