Default Google Maps 2.3.2 Crashing

Please Login to Remove!

Sorry if this has already been posted..

Suddenly tonight Google Maps is crashing on me, when it hasn't before (last usage was three nights ago). It will load up, begin to show my location and then shut down. I've tried a reboot, battery pull and a deletion of the application with reinstall and still the same results.

Anyone else experiencing this or have any suggestions on what may be causing this and how to fix it? The only new applications I installed on my phone lately has been the Myspace application (still on the phone) and Taskify (which I deleted thinking it might be a cause but the problem persists).

BTW I am not a fan of the BB Maps application and would prefer not to use it if at all possible...I deleted it since Google Maps has been working perfectly until today.

I would try removing the My Space App and try that. It can't hurt. I haven't been having any problems with Google Maps.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

I find it locking occasionally although my experiences are similiar to zeros. press alt esc to make sure there is a not another app running which may interfere.

Before seeing your post, I did just that and let the thing reboot and yes, Google Maps did come up again and acted "normal". I have since reinstalled the Myspace application. We'll see what happens later on today.

No issues here with the new Google Maps app.
