Default Virtual PC Connection to BB

Has anyone figured out how to get a 7100t to connect with a Mac using Virtual PC? I have properly installed the Blackberry desktop software and recognized the device through USB (in virtual PC), but the BB software will not recognize that it is connected.

Honestly it's not worth the effort. First off getting the desktop manager to recognize your Blackberry is a pain and secondly VPC like every other version is painfully slow. If your a Mac user like myself take a look at the Blackberry Sync from PocketMac. It will be one of the best $29 investments you make for your Mac... See my sig. below for further info on Blackberry and Macintosh sync compatibility.

I also bought PocketMac the first day I had my BB (when I was setting it up) and it works like a charm. I was able to transfer all of my contacts from Address Book to the BB within a minute or so. Plus, with PocketMac, you can also use iSync to synch your BB to the Mac.

I am using Pocketmac to sync - and it is working flawlessly, BTW.

My problem is - how do I install 3rd party software or update the system software? I am experiencing the speaker phone bug mentioned in another post and cannot install the new software w/o the BB desktop software, right?

From what I understand, the App Loader only works on PC's. I use my PC with Desktop Manager to do all of the app loading, backup, etc. stuff.

Exactly -- this is the problem many of us Mac users are having. I have the PocketMac software and it's working perfectly for me too. But I sure wish someone -- PocketMac, RIM, *someone* -- would come up with an App Loader for Macs. I'd pay for it.

Well before you ever get an app loader for the mac you'll have complete wireless sync so that'll help you.
