Default straight to voicemail....sometimes.

Please Login to Remove!

I have verizon. I rarely rarely am in a "non" service area. I am starting to notice that almost daily if someone calls me they go straight to voicemail.. if they call me back it vibrates/rings properly. Is this a 3rd party app that could be causing this? I would really rather not uninstall all my 3rd party apps.. I stopped using Jivetalk thinking MAYBE that was causing the issue because it would be constantly updating your status and perhaps that had some type of inteference with the phone?... It is getting pretty annoying to get a call and have someone say it went straight to voicemail when they called about 10 seconds before.

Is anyone else having this issue???

FYI 3rd party apps always running:

bbalerts

other than that, i close these down after using them:

jivetalk
chess
viigoyahoo
pacman
traffic vizzon (i need to uninstall that anyways)
texas holdem
googlesync
flickr
facebook
yahoo2go
bbsmart shortcuts
bbalarm pro

How often do you perform a battery pull/hard reset of your device?

Not that often. I have 4.5 (installed a few weeks ago) and hate the fact I have to rearrange the icons every time I do it.. but I almost want to say this has been happening for a lot longer than 4.5.. just seems to be getting worse.

I think I've had it a few times also, running 4.5.0.75.

3rd party apps always running:
BBAlerts
Jivetalk
Facebook (although Facebook is RIM, not really 3rd part)

I almost never battery pull (maybe once in last 3 months?), I haven't found it necessary the way others seem to.

I'm on 4.2.2.170 and have the same thing happen. Always with decent 2-3 bar signal. Lately that will happen I'll get a message and try to call back but get Radio Path Unavailable error. If I'm persistant and try calling back 4-5 times it will get through.

Have you tested this yourself by calling yourself from another line to see if you can replicate the issue regularly?

I'd say it's time to call Verizon.

Go here and get the latest Verizon release so they won't blame it on the OS:

BlackBerry® Software Updates

I may wait until the official release of 4.5 so I don't have to downgrade so much :( Anyone else have any opinions?

I just tried a security wipe on a users phone and it worked for them.
Applications > Options > Security Options > General Settings > Menu Button > Wipe Handheld.

EDIT: We are also on the latest 4.2. release. Just a thought though.

Yessir. But we are on a different OS version, so it may not work.

I was thinking that maybe your phone has been cloned and the calls are being routed to which ever device has the best signal. *Just a thought*
