Default File transfer

Please Login to Remove!

Is there any way that I can receive a file via email on my 8310 and then transfer it via the usb cable to my laptop ?. Please note that the file may be anything (even a EXE in zipped format).
Sometimes I need to open/run files on my laptop. These would come as an email attachement on the BB.

I cannot use the BB as a modem as my carrier (O2) do not allow this feature.

Any ideas ???

If you have Outlook or Outlook express, you can sync it, and have it transfer the email, then open it from the desktop. If you are using the @xxx.blackberry.net email, you could forward it to an email account you can access from the computer.

EDIT: Forget the second half, as I did not read your whole post evidently. You could always set up a free gmail account and set that up in your BB, and in Outlook, forward the email to said gmail account, receive again on BB, then sync with outlook.

I have given the synchronise method a go with the BB desktop program, but as fas as Outlook is concerned, it seems you can only sync the address book and not the messages ???. The "reconcile messages" select box on the syncronise screen is grayed out !.

Must be an easy way of doing this ???
