Default New Programmer (nut just Mobile) - Resources?

Please Login to Remove!

I have done programming in some of the obsolete programming languages but nothing in Object Oriented. I am very much interested in starting J2M for Blackberry.

I checked out the sticky by Mark - it is indeed very useful but I couldnt find any resource that could suit my me and my non-existent experience. I checked out the book "Core J2ME Technology & MIDP" and I feel like I need something a little more basic to introduce me to O.O.P.

Is there any book that would eventually help me to understand developing BB application? Any recommendations for beginner-beginner?

Thanks!

if you don't know any java i'd recommend starting with some desktop java. there are quite some good guides available i think (at least in german ).

to start with BB i'd suggest the developer guides together with some of rims examples. if i didn't know a thing about java i would't try, though
