Default Disable password when connecting

Please Login to Remove!

On my work PC I have to type in a password before it synchs my information. We do have a BES server and my system is on a domain but it looks like a blackberry desktop manager app popup. Also the password I type is not the same password as my login password for my computer. Please let me know how I can disable or bypass the password request. Thanks.

How is your email setup? Are you required to enter a username/password when you access it?

Two things you might want to check:

1. Desktop Manager: Options > Profile Settings. Make sure "Always use this Profile" is checked.

2. Outlook 2003: Tools > Options > Mail Setup > Email Accounts. Verify that "always prompt for password" is not checked.

I just got this recently as well it has something to do with "certificates". I have also noticed another icon on desktop manager. "App Loader" "Backup/Restore" "Intellisync" and now "Certificate Sync" Not sure what this is about.

This forum has a lot of traffic and I notice there are to many post of problems rather than answers. I wish someone had an easy answer.

MobileRC that is the normal icons for BB desktop manager. My password request comes up right after I plug my cable in before it even starts to synch.

W/ the amount of software and security configurations out there, there's rarely such a thing as an "easy answer" anymore.

You said it's not the same password as your login, so which password is it? Where did this password originally come from? (I'm going on the assumption that you do, in fact, know the password)

yes sir I do know the password. I believe it asked me to enter in a password for the very first time I installed the installed the software. I wasn't sure if this was normal for ppl running a BES server. i even messed with the password options on my BB and still no luck.

It is either the password so you can access your BlackBerry (screen/security lock) or it is directly related to the SMIME certs. Probably so someone can't plug their own BlackBerry into your computer and get all your certs.

Can you better describe the password prompt box? You have to ask easy questions to get easy answers! ;)
