Default Address book show on 1 line only?

Please Login to Remove!

So I'm playing with my friends curve, and I notice that his address book shows only one line per contact.

My Pearl 8130 has two lines; most of the time it's blank, but if there's a company, it shows that on the second line.

I have searched and tried everything to get this only a 1 line display, but with no luck.

Any help getting this to happen?

Unfortunatly, I don't think there is a way. It was an "Enhancement" to the OS. A lot of people are complaining about it. I guess the one line per contact is pretty popular!

Yeah, I don't like the two lines per contact either.

Wirelessly posted (8700g: BlackBerry8700/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

So the two lines is the enhancement? Too funny.

Same here, hate it. If I put someone in my book, chances are pretty good that I know where they work.

Hey, if that is the deal killer for you... personally I don't mind it. Many of my contacts have a business name, but I do understand that it would be nice if it were an option.

If you want a main number to appear there, then just enter it in the company field. You can't change it from the 2 line view so use the 2nd line(company) to display info you would like to see when you are scrolling through. City for mulitple location businesses, main contact number, nick name, IM usernamre, etc. Take advantage of it.
