Smile Hello, I'm new to Blackberrys

Please Login to Remove!

Just thought I'd introduce myself as a new BB owner. I got mine on Dec 20 07.
I've been a WM5 user for several years and never thought I'd get a BB. However the need for more instant email caused me to reconsider and I am now the proud owner of an 8320 Blackberry Curve, which I think is simply wonderful. I did a lot of researching (every day for a week and this forum helped me a lot, the information and help here is wonderful) - and decided within a week of looking that the Curve 8320 was one of the best BB's out there. I bought an unlocked one, swapped in my SIM and I'm now wondering how I managed without it

So far thanks to the discussions in this forum I have OTA'd
Empower Pro
Pocket Day Professional
Doc Hawk viewer (trial at the moment)
ToDoMatrix (trial, but I will be buying)
Idea Matrix (ditto)
Opera Mini (was free but I find it rather buggy, useless for downloading apps)
Iberry Black theme from BBPlay (amazing theme)
Iberry Blue theme
Zenergy theme

I'm using BIS as this is my personal Blackberry and I have set up my three email accounts which are working like a breeze. I find the BB synches with my Outlook at work so much more quickly than Activesynch whose bugginess was beginning to get to me. I am still finding the cost of some of the apps quite high compared to WM appl (BB apps seem to be priced for businesses still) but from a productivity standpoint and my needs I think they will pay for themselves. I am on Robbers - sorry Rogers - BB data plan - I wanted to use my old generic (and cheaper) data plan with my Curve, but the experience simply isn't the same, and half of the things A BB is great for were missing. So I bit the bullet and changed it to a BB data plan. There is no contest here in my view although I will be monitoring my data usage.

Just want to say thanks again for all the hard work that goes into this forum... it certainly was and is a big help to me!

EZ, put url in brackets in front and /url in brackets behind. That will fix it right up.

Nicki, noobs are cut some slack, of course. You are allowed one post in the wrong group, I'm sure.

PocketDay Professional for Blackberry
I actually went first to Handango, where I generally check out all the apps for any device I have, and looked under Productivity. Then I Googled PocketDay Professional and went to the company web site.
