Default Any way to assign a function to Volume Keys?

Please Login to Remove!

Hey everyone...

I recently went from the 8700g to the 8320 and the fact that I can't change profile settings on the go is driving me nuts!

Yes, I know I can easily assign the other two convenience keys, however, I use those for both LOCK and Voice Dialing. Is there anyway to assign the PROFILES setting to the volume buttons so that you can switch on the fly when not active on a call?

Thanks...

I am not sure about the volume keys, but I notice you said you have your convenience key set to LOCK.

I had it like that before, but then I went to options within the call menu, and then turned off "dial from home screen" function. This will allow you to use the "k" key to lock the phone, as well as other nifty shortcuts.

I was fustrated for a bit too witht the lack of an easy way to adjust the profiles, but you get used to it after a bit and its not an issue after a while

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8700g: BlackBerry8320/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

If you disable the Dial from Home Screen parameter like Bounce said, then you can change your Profiles quickly from the home screen by pressing the 'F' key. But the volume keys can't be mapped to a function.
