I'm fairly new to the 8700r, and I was wondering if someone could please tell me what the maximum software versions (both the desktop manager and handheld software) are that I can use for this particular berry?

It was preloaded with 4.1, but it was freezing on me regularly so I installed the software specific to my network (Rogers) through BlackBerry.com. However, then I started getting error messages letting me know that certain connections aren't allowed by my IT policy. The thing is, these worked just fine with the preloaded software.

So... I figure it's because I downloaded the "Rogers" software packages that this was limited on me, so I want to download the standard versions through blackberry.com now but first I need to find out what the maximum software versions are that I can use so that I don't toast my berry trying to install software that isn't compatible.

I've seen some sites that make it sound like v4.1 (handheld software) is the max version for the 8700r, but the Rogers version that was available for me to download was v4.2.2, and it installed and worked fine for the most part. And then there's v4.3, which is what I'd really like to use, but I'm not sure if I'll kill the blackberry trying to install it.

The latest and highest version is posted above in the Sticky Notes. 4.2 is available. Desktop Manager highest versions is 4.3.

Unfortunately the T-Mobile download link that's supplied in that thread doesn't seem to work. It sends me to a page where I choose my country (which isn't listed) and then I have to login, which I can't do.

Plus the version numbers aren't the newest in that thread, which is why I posted in here to see if someone had more up-to-date info.
