Hi -

I use Gmail IMAP to push my email to the Pearl. This is working fine with one exception and it's probably because I'm a BB noob.

When the mail arrives it shows up on the main screen under the globe email (has my email address) as well as the messages tab on the main screen. It would seem that the messages icon is the only one I need.

Sorry for the confusion. Thanks.

This happens on my Pearl as well, now that I think of it, it happened this way on my 7130e too. I think the "messages" area acts sort of like a "catch-all" type message center. If you'll notice, if you read your new mail in the "globe mail" area, the new message notification will go away in the "messages" area. No need to check both areas. Is there a way to make this not happen when you get an email? I have no idea. Maybe someone else knows of a way.

Perhaps their is a way to hide the globe email icon. It just seems a little redundant and thought it was the way I setup my email. I guess not. Hopefully someone can shed a little light.

Thanks.

Highlight the Global Email Icon, click the 'Alt', press the trackball and hide.
