Is there any possible way to still get a 1 year contract with AT&T? All I tend to see is 2 year contracts. My 30 day period ends today on my 8310, so I want to return and have them resell it back as a 1 year if I can do that. I just talked to a rep at the store and she said 1 year contracts were removed about 2 months ago. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I got a 1 year contract late August without a problem. I'd check with different stores..

that rep either lied or just didn't know. its not true that you can ONLY do a 2 year contract. If you decide to do 1 year only, obviously, you would have to pay more for your 8310.

I signed up with ATT back in May when I bought a Treo from Ebay, so there was no incentive for me to sign a 2 yr contract. I WAS surprised though that I found out because I didn't even buy the phone from them, I was on a month to month even though I signed a new service with them. I made sure the CSR put that in my account so no one can tell me that I'm on a contract. I don't know if anyone can do this now.
