So I can't download BB messenger OTA? Is it worth it to download it on a desktop then transfer it to my 8700c?

Also my wife just got the new 8310 Curve Red and it had BBMessnger preloaded on it but Opera is not on there unless it is hiding somewhere.

Why can't you download BBMessenger OTA? If you have no BB data plan then BBMessenger won't work anyway.

Opera Mini is a 3rd party app and doesn't come installed when new. You have to install it.

Yes, from 4.2.0+ it's included in the handheld apps, and thus not up for download.

I have a BB Data plan via AT&T, but I tried to download it on a desktop and when I went to plug in my BB via USB, it said that my device is not supported. An 8700c running v4.2.1.96 (Platform 2.3.0.79) not supported? This doesn't sound right.


Also, it would not let me download it via mobile.blackberry.com over the Blackberry Browser. :O(

Ryan, you must have your current OS also loaded and installed on your PC. Then, with Desktop Manager, you click on Application Loader, and find Desktop Manager and check the box to load it.
