What are the chances this is a Cingular issue? I've been trying to use the Motorola car kit with my MPX220 and have the same problems on reconnect, it won't! I've used two car kit and two phones, the same problem.

I've used my sim in a new audiovox phone from a Cingular store and had the same problem. My next step is to try it in a non Cingular device.

The newer Motorola car kit (IHF1000) works fine with the 7290, and adds voice dialing.

We have tested the IHF 1000 with a variety of handsets including the BB7290 from Tmo running 4.0.0.198 and it has been working perfectly.
