I know you'll update us.

Are you ever getting the registration message--and no SBs at all install in your SB screen? Pardon me if you have answered this, I don't see it.
ITS FIXED!! RIM had to reset my account. I was getting the registration message but not the email activation notice. I was working with an engineer who made me send event log etc.... They also had me read off what apps I have and of course I had to tell a little white lie and say I had 4.2.180

Thanks to all who has helped in the past few days!! but I have one more question/request, would someone kindly send me the docstogo.alx to [email address]?

I hate to re-install the OS in order to get this back. Instead of renaming it docstogo.old, I went ahead and deleted it (dumba... that I am)... Thanks in advance.

Man, good to hear.

I couldn't be happier for you... if we only knew what RIM has to do to 'reset' an account.

Once you get the basic version installed, take a sec and read my post here:

http://www.blackberryforums.com/afte...ml#post1097770

You'll never have to worry about this again. I keep the latest bundle of the install on my SD card next to all the others that might be required (3rd party apps) after an upgrade.

PS: to get the ALX back, just uninstall the OS files from your PC then reinstall them.

I've had it done once - they (RIM BIS team) delete your entire device record from a master database, let it propagate to the slaves then re-insert a fresh record in the master. It's as if you're a brand new device all over again. At least, that's what I was informed while the friendly tech was on the horn with me doing it...
