mrmarty.....
It looks as if we posted at the same time. I am glad to see that you are experiencing the same things I am ("goofy" camera fixing itself, larger/bolder keys in landscape, etc...). It makes me think that I am not that crazy when I try to think back to previous builds and compare them.... Good luck, I hope it continues to work out for all of us!

Agreed... it is nice at least to have company in our lunacy.
Here's to continued smooth sailing.

So how come when I go into the browser and type in a url the keyboard is coming up in phone mode? I double checked and the keyboard is set to SureType (this is in portrait mode)

1. The first time I tried to use the camera it was "goofy". I am not going to bother explaining at this point. See second point.
2. After exiting the Camera and going back in everything was fine.
3. The camera is taking pictures MUCH more quickly. I really mean MUCH. IMHO.
4. The full keyboard in Portrait mode is easier to use than I thought it would be.
5. The letters on the keyboards, (all of them) are slightly bolder or heavier.
6. Screen lock/unlock is MUCH faster as well.
7. So far I have only one other oddity. The screen would not go to sleep. I locked it, unlocked it, and rotated it. Then I laid it down and waited... then it finally went to sleep. I am set for 10 seconds. This has only happened once so far.
8. The Application Center icon changed back to the original .65 icon.
9. After testing the Auto on/off once, the radios are on after the restart. Each of the builds after .65, after an auto on/off, the radios were off. I am delighted at this one.
More to come I hope.

I am bumping my own post because I added something to it that I felt warranted. I hope this is not offensive in any way.

Yes, I would think this is why you have to re-activate each and every time. When I installed DM, I did it while connected to work and chose the BES option. After you select this option, you will have to create a MAPI profile for DM to use. This happens only one time. Once you do that, just connect your BB via USB to your DM that has access to your mail system and you will be "right as rain" to quote from the Matrix.

I just walked back to my desk and my phone was in the middle of a reboot. I, nor anyone else had touched it. I hope this was a one time fluke.

About an Hour after I finished my upgrade it prompted me for a reboot. It was actually when I tried to open the GMAIL App for the first time after upgrading.
It said all voice calls, blah blah blah wouldn't work until reboot.
Maybe it was the same type of thing, but yours did it on it's own???

Just had the backlight stuck on. Had to QuickPull. Other than that, this has been stable for me so far.

Just downloaded and installed. Smooth is all I can say for the whole operation. I love the new keyboards and system seems quicker. I'll keep everyone posted of any Problems I might have.

Just installed .90 this afternoon and am really liking the responsiveness. The camera is much MUCH faster, and I noticed one camera improvement I was particularly interested in that was a problem in .76: transparent camera toolbar! All my pics were off-center because I would forget that the area behind the toolbar was live. This was especially bad for trying to line up shots for the Scanr app.

upgraded from .85. I am happy to see my Storm running a lot better. Only change I noticed was my calculator, notes, voice dialing was moved to the applications folder. My camera is a little sluggish but with this new improved speed, I cannot go back to older firmware

I believe the Blue/Red LED issue is gone. I connected the BB to my car via bluetooth, made a couple calls, and had people send me some emails while I was in the car. This is the combination I noticed that would create the LED issue. When I got home and away from my car, the Blue LED went out and since I didn't have any unchecked emails, the Red LED was out as well.

I can't get Desktop Manager to update my 9500 with the .87 or .90 that has come out. My 9500 is on the .78 revision, and when I go to update software, it says there are no updates available. But when I go to Help, About Desktop Manager, it shows both the .87 and the .90 in my installed Blackberry Device Software.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

I am not sure what the issue is but I normally uninstall the previous operating system for the BB before installing the newer version. I only let DM see one operating system at a time. I personally have never had any issues upgrading or downgrading using the method.
