Default Troubles EA'ing BB in China

Please Login to Remove!

Anyone have issues like this:

BES = US
Mailbox = US
User = China

Try to EA the device, the EPT message enters and leaves the mailbox but the device never kicks off the activation. User state that ChinaMobile has had issues accepting some messages from the US and this could be one of them.

Going to try a wired activation on Monday.

check the account to make sure the BES services are their and not the BIS, also make sure user is not using encryption in there mail file, the EPT message is already encrypted, so the second level defeats. The EPT comes from Research in Motion, not from the BES.

I have that exact setup for a handful of users and agree with Sith and kerry.

If you have T-Support, you can call and give them the PIN and they can tell you if the device has an Enterprise BB data plan. I have done this before when carriers tell me they are "sure" the device is set up properly - and then I find out it wasn't.

Hi Jrbes,

I'm in China and both my BES & mailbox in US, I'm using China Mobile as carrier, you need ask user to enable Blackberry service in China Mobile before user can do EA. in China, BES only available for China Mobile.
