Default Tmobile UK APN?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,

Ive just picked up a Blackberry 8300 and Im playing around with getting it to work with a T-Mobile UK PAYG sim with unlimited GPRS.

Phone works
Text Works
MMS Works
Browser works

Now I realise I wont get push email without BES or BIS but surely I can get some form of email access.

Ive been trying to get tiggit mail - 3rd Party email, IMAP POP3 and SMTP client for the corporate BlackBerry user to work and although the developer has been a great help it looks like the issue is down to the APN im using.

I have yet to get any 3rd party app to access the internet so far ive tried

tiggitmail - cannot connect
Logicmail - unknown error
Googlemaps mobile - gets stuck at 10% and says no network access
Google mail mobile - Network unavailable

Ive set the APN as t-mobile.general.uk

once any app fails to access the internet, browser will no longer connect until I reboot the blackberry by removing the battery.

Any help appreciated

if you have the service books installed, then those settings should already be in your blackberry, the gateway IP is probably a typo as they should be the same. just change the APN.

aha getting closer, changed the APN to blackberry.net and although this hasnt given the 3rd part apps access to the internet it no longer stops browser working when a 3rd party app fails to connect
