Default Save e-mail attatchments to memory card?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi. Im fairly new to bb use and Im trying to find out if it possible to save an attachment I download on the bb to my memory card, and then how to transfer it to my (pc) laptop and how to take a file from the laptop and transfer it to the bb so I can send it through the bb's e-mail. My phone provider has a plan that will allow me to tether the bb to the laptop , but it costs $8 per mb !! as compared to unlimited data for $30 if I just use the email and gps. Also would there be any way to send a file from the memory card through a service like sendthisfile.com ??? for files too large to e-mail? Any help would be appreciated.

BeamBerry allows you to save a file attachment to your Media Card. Not all attachments, only those recognized as a valid attachement, like word, excel and pdf documents.

Default Beamberry only options?

Is beamberry the only solution for this? Before I download and buy I would like to know if there is any freeware that could do what the OP is asking without the bells and whistles of beamberry.

Right now, BeamBerry is the only option. It's a good app. OS 4.5 is coming soon and will have the ability to do this with the Docs To Go application.

Its not just docs I want to be able to move, but files/data. Im hoping there is a way to use the internet connection on the bb to download an attatchment, transfer it to the laptop so I can work on the file , zip it and move it back to the memory card, then send it back with the bb . Im trying to find a way to not tether or set up a separate wireless plan for the laptop when Im mobile.

Yes, then BeamBerry will serve your needs well for now.
