Default Do you mollycoddle your Blackberry?

Please Login to Remove!

Mollycoddle. Olde English for pamper or spoil.

I have had my 8320 for a week now and I think it is great. However I get finger marks on it, so I have inserted a glasses cleaning cloth into the clip of my leather case, and wipe it over at least twice a day.

How embarrassing is that for a 70 year old man? However, I really think that I can hear it purrr when I do this.

Let's see...I put the Invisible Shield on it (screen and battery cover only) then got the Seidio hard case to put over that....Yeah, I guess I mollycoddle it!

I like the look of that invisible shield, not only for the phone but also for my 2 I-Pods.

Thanks Bob F.

I pamper my baby also. She got a BSE screen protector and bought her 4 different color gel skins (red. blue, orange, lime green) so she always has protection. A lady cant have just one dress you know, gotta have variety

Oh yeah. I've purchased three different cases for it: a Fortte leather glove fit case (which I abandoned after a couple weeks, expensive experiment), a Seidio hybrid case and then I have a black OEM skin. I typically go back and forth between the last two.
It also has had an Invisible Skin screen protector since the first week it arrived -- though I think I had to wait a few weeks for my first Curve because I bought it straight away.
If it's raining outside, which it does often round here, I put it in my jacket pocket and zip the pocket up. I hate getting even a few rain drops on it.
With my previous BB, a 7130, when I got up in the morning I'd grab it and read e-mail while brushing teeth, getting ready for work, etc. Now it never goes anywhere near where there might be water.
At work, my Curve sits on its very own little chair just visible in my peripheral vision.
And I also constantly wipe it down. Yesterday when I was doing a battery pull I was very sad to see the battery door has gotten a bit scuffed up. There are three tiny hairline scratches. Awww.

Yeah, I can relate a little bit.

Yes, I do. I use an Invisible Shield on the screen and a Seidio hybrid hard case. Also left the original plastic sheet on the battery cover.

I use a screen protector and the OEM sleeve that came with it (with a notch cut out on the left side so I can plug in a charger or headset while it's "sleeved"). I do wipe it down from time to time.

I could get kicked off the forum for how I treat my BB - it has a few scrapes and scratches. I'd give you details, but I don't want to give Prodigee's Curve nightmares.

Treat mine so horrible, and it shows me nothing but LOVE! I bought 15 screen protectors like 3 months ago, ive used 1 one my wifes phone. 1 thing I have noticed is that my new 8310 and my wifes 8310 has ZERO dust under the screen yet my original 8300 was so horrible I was unable to view the screen in any kind of sunlight.

that 8300 was practically wearing huggies.

Unlike my wife (who I love dearly, but she is always gone) my 8320 never leaves me. I always have it...sleep, work, wash rinse and repeat and I have an invis sheild as well.

I dropped mine 4 days after I got it. Broke the glass/plastic display on it. It cracked. I ordered the Seidio rubber cover and a case that it will fit in. I also ordered a screen protector and a microfiber screen cleaner. Yep, I'll be mollycoddling mine for some time now. Once it gets back from the repair shop. I've been an 8310 owner for over a week. 4 days experience with it. When I dropped it, the display hit a ceramic table leg on the way to the carpeted floor. About a 3 foot drop.

You are all pathetic, sick, diseased, individuals with little to do but play to your OCD personalities. I don't know why I come back to this forum..... hourly. lol

So.... Anyone else given their baby a name?

Roll 58 years old by the way........("Okay Cupcake, it's time to go on the charger for the night. Sleep tight.")

I bought mine two day's ago and found myself either cleaning the screen 10 times a day or making sure I use the speaker phone so I don't get ear funk near it. haha.

Thank you John Clark for the link. I ordered my invisable shield this morning. I hope that helps but I know I will now be cleaning the invisable shield also lol.

Michael

PS I named mine Cassie (same name as my wife just in case I forget and call my wife the wrong name. hahahaha)

This and I got a slim rubber case for when I have it lying around at home, the OEM case just isnt very handy for quick access.

I am in this group too. Blackberry OEM sleeve and belt holster. No screen protector, but I have a mega sized microfibre cloth that I use to wipe it down several times a day. I also ordered a second battery door already because the original got scratched when I dropped it.

I wipe the ball down a lot with an alcohol wipe too.

While on the subject, I am on my second blackberry skin. They have both ripped when I've taken them on and off. Boo.
