Thanks, now that makes sense why they are seeing it and the others (i.e. myself) don't.

Thanks,

Tony

Documented? Who reads documentation?

I'm sure they can... but it would largely depend on the demand for such a feature measured against the amount of work it would take to develop that functionality into the app.

I am still using both... but I have kicked Beyond411 out of the club... the only thing it provided over the other two was white pages (residential) lookup - something that I rarely used... and I actually never used any plugins.

I'm also using both google and live. Google is very fast at finding your location using cell towers and bringing up maps. The search is actually better where if I miss spell a business name, it still finds it. It adds the mass transit directions, very cool; now all they need are buses and subway.

WLS has more accurate traffic in NYC Metro which is important to me. Some of the search features are easier to find what I want, like movies or restaurants. The speaking is pretty cool.

If I had to pick one, right now it would be google. But they work fine together so why choose one.

Regards-Michael G.

The problem is that Google Maps ver. 2.0+ isn't working with many 4.5 installs, and Google hasn't fixed that yet.

I'm using WLS now more because of the reason that JSanders just mentioned. Yes I liked Google Maps but I have Telenav which I use daily and am starting to get used to using WLS more.

They are very close. WLS is my first choice now, but now that 2.2 GMM is SO much faster I may go back. The speaking in WLS is accurate.

I have tested WLS with the words "pizza", "barbecue" (to which it gave me a choice of "barbecue" and "barbque") and even "beer" and each attempt has resulted in not only geographically accurate choices closeby, but from the choices presented, WLS obviously has good culinary taste as well.

Yes, the technology (and its implementation) around the speaking is amazing. MS really did a good job on this.

It is in partial thanks to their implemention of the TellMe product.

I had this program last month and I had to remove it because for some reason it wanted to activate the bluetooth stack on my phone. So it deactivated my speakers and such. I might try it again one.
