Hi all

I have been browsing here for a few days, and though I'd take the plunge with my first post.

At the moment, I have a Lotus DOmino 7.0.2 environment with 13 BlackBerry devices connected to the BES server in Germany (I am in the UK). They limit us to 10 devices in Germany so already exceed their expectations. I am wanting to implement a BES here, and not having a huge amount of help from head office. They have said we need to use their BB router because of the set up of out WAN (we have no direct out access, only through HQ).

So far I have my server, and it will have Domino on it soon. The document I have from T-Mobile about setting up BES gives me several installation options:

-BlackBerry MDS Services
-BlackBerry Enterprise Server with BlackBerry MDS Services
-BlackBerry Attachment Service
-BlackBerry Manager
-BlackBerry Router
-BlackBerry MDS Connection Service
-BlackBerry Collaboration Service

Presumably I need to have the Enterprise Server with Blackberry MDS services and then point it to the server in Germany for the routing?

ANy help much appreciated!

Thanks

Chas

You would setup the MDS services if you are pushing out corporate applications to your users. If you are not using any applications then there is no need to install MDS services.
