so the other day i went to dial 1-800-Flowers and i realized it doesnt work the same way on a BB. I couldnt make the call!!!

is there a trick to this or something?

Just type out the actual letters when dialing the number, and the BB will automatically translate them into the proper tones.

So, to dial 1-800-FLOWERS, you'd actually type in 1 8 0 0 F L O W E R S and hit send.
Use the ALT key to get the letter when typing.

Ditto. I actually had someone's phone that had the regular land line keys so I could figure it out. I felt like a donkey after I figured it out, lol
