I have the 8120 and I'm trying to install opera mini. It starts to install and then says it fails to connect to the internet. Can anyone help? Also will I be charged by T-mobile for not using the default browser? Thanks

You need to enter T Mobiles APN settings onto your BB.

Go to options > advanced options > TCP

APN = wap.voicestream.com

Username & password are left blank.

These settings are for T mobile USA.

curious, does this mean when i roam internationally that i need to change the APN? or can it access t-mobile's APN over another carrier?

because i remember that when i was in europe i never had to change my APN when going to other countries (even to Singapore and USA), the GPRS just worked.

Go To: Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table
-and register to any of the networks there! and you will be good to go!!

I tried installing opera mini 4 on my 8120, and I keep getting the same problem. 'Failed to connect to internet' but there's nothing wrong with my internet. I can go on it with the default browser. And I enter the correct apn address.
Does anyone else has this problem???

i recently downloaded opera mini as well. its workin fine for me. actually i like their browser better than the one that was already installed on the phone.

This is a new error for me... trying to install again after reading of previous success. I am now getting an error that says Content blocked by operator.
