I would try the 4.1 beta of opera mini, however AT&T throws so much crap on their devices by default I don't have space left. I need to get home and fix it
I use Opera Mini for general surfing on websites that I don't care about security on. For example, forums I frequent that don't have mobile optimized views. There isn't much someone could do to me if they got a hold of my log in information for a video game site, or FaceBook, or anything else of that nature as I don't use my "real" email account when I create accounts on those types of sites anyway. Opera Mini won't even let you log in to a secure site anyway, so it really isn't a big deal.
I use the BB browser if I need to download something, cut and paste, or to check my bank account, pay my Amex bill, etc; or if I am visiting a site that I know is optimized for mobile viewing.
There are far and away more and better ways for someone to steal your identity than by monitoring Opera's proxy servers and stealing log in information for non secure sites. I know, even the BB browser isn't completely secure, but for that matter, neither is your home PC's browser, the local ATM, or the pin pad built into the gas pump.

Reason: typo
I mainly use the BB browser, but use Opera Mini when a site forces the BB to the mobile/wap site and I want to go to the regular site and also so I can read ESPN articles since their wap/mobile site is so limited.
Wish they would just release Opera Mobile for the Blackberry already so I can have a browser without the proxy server middleman they have with Opera Mini.
