CBR900RR, thank you for noticing. That was a misprint on our site. xPlayer and xTemplate are free of course.

Then I am confused, what is the point of the text templates you can see when launching xTemplate?

Are you sure about the 8120? It and the 8130 are the same hardware as far as I've read (aside from GPS vs. WiFi) and don't have the color LEDs under the trackball.

Danabw, We haven't tested on 8120/8130. If you are able to test xColorEvent on 8120 or 8130 we would be very thankful for your feedback!
Thank you in advance,
Irene

We have an updated information.
xColorEvent doesn't work on 8120/8130 due to device characteristics.
Thanks to all users who have provided the testing!
Keep in touch.

I downloaded xPlayer, played a few songs are their any settings I should change for optimal playback? I tried playing a few songs and some of them skipped during certain parts, so I went back and played them with the BlackBerry media manager and they played just fine. The files are .wma if it may matter. (One the songs was Roulette by Bon Jovi)
Any recommendations? However xPlayer seems very useful, I am still using it since the playlist function is awesome. I would just really like to see that 'switch application' function so I multitask while listening to the music.

Hello SteveO86,
You can access xPlayer -> Menu button, select any playing options you feel necessary for you. For example you can go to
xPlayer -> Menu button -> Settings and set the listed settings according to you preferences,
or to xPlayer -> Menu button -> Help and see the shortcuts
As for the issue about files skipping, we will research it and inform you about the results.

After playing around with the settings of xPlayer, I am really liking the functionality. A very nice easy intuitive interface (could probably cleaned up a little, but looks only matter so much) and the ability to create and manage different play list is just fantastic, just the type of application I am looking for.
I do have a question, where does the program store my play lists device memory or my media card (I am guessing my Device memory), and is their a rule/or way to tell hey much memory a play list absorbs (The amount of songs in the play list probably do effect the size, I just want to be aware of any repercussions or limitations)?

I've used xPlayer a bit this weekend while doing the yard work (mow the lawn, trimming that, edging this, etc)
I am curious about the Shuffle and Repeat functions, if it says "Shuffle Off" then it actually shuffles the songs in my play list, and visa-versa same goes for the Repeat function, if it says "Repeat On" it will not repeat any songs in my play list. Is that how its intended?
xPlayer is working great except for randomly jumping to another song while in the middle of a previous song (it only did it twice).
I'll probably use xPlayer over bluetooth to the Stereo Gateway soon enough.
Edit:
Just FYI, the issue I mentioned before with some of my music skipping, I figured it out!
When I ripped my Bon Jovi songs (all 326 of them) from the CD to my computer they were .wma files. I imported one of my CD's in .mp3 format and played it with xPlayer no problem at all it plays perfectly. So it looks .wma files are little buggy. Hope this helps.

Steve - I'm not sure, but sometimes, the way menus show items, you press it to GET that option engaged. So highlight Shuffle ON and then press the trackball and it might actually then do Shuffle.

Having some problems installing the update...I had 0.9x before which I then deleted. Now I am trying to install the latest version through application loader and I get the error:
"No additional applications designed for your device were found"
Any idea why its doing this...the version that I had before is not even getting back anymore.

Hello Steve,
Thank you for your notes.
Playlists are stored only in device memory.
Playlists are usually the same size as the songs in it. Like if you have 12 songs for 3Mb, you get a playlist with the size around 36Mb. That is an approximate assumption.
