that page does however hook to the adlookup.asp page that Grimlin created so if you don't have that added cool feature let me know and I can send that to you as well. This will allow for the ldap search to happen

I have downloaded the latest code and gone through the set up process.
I am able to run admin.asp to configure the config.xml. However whenever I go to http://localhost/berrystats/index.xml it times out.
Also (and may be cause for issue above) I have the BES DB, BESMgmt, running within a SQL instance - how do I accomidate this? I went with SQLSERVER\Instance but again am timing out. I build an odbc connection on the same server using the instance name, SQL port, and SQL id\password and can connect ok which leads me to think it has to do with how the app is handling the SQL instance.
MSXML 4.0 SP2 is installed. The Web server is x64 (does that matter?)
Any tips?

Anyone heard from QC_Metal? His download link appears to be 404. I had someone PM me looking for his version of berrystats.

I'm alive - just some billing issues on the site
I'm trying to work out some billing issues on the website...
Hopefully it will be back up this evening or tomorrow morning.
Sorry about this everyone.
Oh - and some good news: We are evaluating BB Server here at my new(-ish) job. Sooooo...that means I should be able to resume work on BerryStats for ASP again!

I hope someone can help me.
I have no idea what I'm doing and know nothing about SQL and very little about ASP.
This is the error I'm getitng when I try to browse (through the computer management console) any page but the admin.asp page, it works fine.
Error Type:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers (0x80040E4D)
Microsoft][ODBE SQL ServerDriver][SQL Server]Login
failed for user 'berrystats'.
/BerryStats/lite.asp, line 24
Again the admin.asp opens fine but I guess the user that I made called berrystats is not getting access.
If I try to browse the index.asp it just times out
Thanks
If I browse the serverstatus.asp it works also.

Sounds like you have not setup the user on your SQL Server. You also need to make sure that your SQL Server or MSDE instance is set for SQL Auth (and Windows Auth). I believe there is information about this in the install instructions, but there is definitely a post in this thread about it as well. Do a little search on this thread and you will turn up your answer.

Side note - I'm looking for all modifications or updates made to the ASP version, as I would like to start working on this a little bit.
If you have updated files, please post them in the thread on my messageboard, and I will start to compile them together: Viewing a thread - BerryStats ASP (BlackBerry statistics web GUI)

Here are my database users. Is this not correct. I followed the directions exactly as written.
I searched this thread all day yesterday with no luck.

What happens when you create an ODBC connection to it from a PC and use the same ID and password?

QC - Great to see you back, I'd love to have a lite version of BerryStats that will display on Blackberry. I frequently use it to query if someone is on the BES and what their status is etc.

Already in the works... ![Smiley](http://www.blackberryforums.com/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif) - -
I'm going to try to set lite.asp up so that it automatically detects if it is trying to render a page for the mobile browser. If so, you will navigate differently (no hidden tables, etc.). As a matter of fact, I'm going to get away from tables if possible.
I have already done some work with the pie charts - getting away from using the MS Office-based charts and using ampie (and others). The new charts are much cooler and are flash based. Alas, they won't be rendered on the BlackBerry, but, really, we're talking about doing some basic stuff on the BB itself, not reporting.
The only problem I'm going to have working on this is I won't be able to test queries that return a lot of results or anything that requires multiple servers. Soooo, I may need everyone's help with that.

Successful connection. The funny thing is it took 3 tried. The first 2 came back with errors. I deleted it and tried again. The third time it hooked up with no errors, and now everytime after there are no errors.
I just realised that the serverstatus.asp page doesn't actually work. It doesn't show State or Startup mode but is shows todays date and time.
Do I need to setup the BESuserAdminClient Tool, because I am not.

The problem was my password.
It had a ; in it and I guess you can't do that.

Only if you want to change things on the BES. (set passwords, etc.)

The serverstatus page validates via WMI to pull the server stats, etc. - so I suspect that there is some code in there that can't handle the ";". I'll put that on the bug list ![Smiley](http://www.blackberryforums.com/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

The ; was in the password on the database user 'berrystats' once I changed it and removed the ; everything but the serverstatus.asp page is working. Not really a big deal for me because I don't know how much I will use that page anyway.
Thanks for all your help.

Quick question...
My assumption (without setting BerryStats up) is that someone who is granted privileges within BES (such as help desk) to perform administration duties can administer devices without authenticating as besadmin....and instead authenticate as themselves....as long as the tools are installed. Is this correct?
If this is correct.....has anyone used the tools and BerryStats across domains...and if they have was there any authentication issues across the domains?
