I can't stand SureType ... i need QWERTY. No matter what it offers, the 8320 offers my #1 and #2 requirements of coverage and a QWERTY keyboard that are absolute show stoppers for me.

Not sure if this helps at all.
I'm pretty sure the 8320 I was using in France and Spain worked without a problem ...

I think you mean CDMA 88xx's support international usage.

the 8830 offers international roaming (and all GSM phones in recent history do as well). all devices should be able to call internationally without a problem regardless of CDMA/GSM/iDen

thanks for all ur inputs guys. Im gonna stick with the 8310.

I was cheking the 8800 series forum section and most questions were about 8830 CDMA...i guess most of the ppl that have GSM are sticking with 83xx series..

Im gonna stick with this untill something new comes out....

BTW, heres a quick question, can anyone direct me to the info i need about setting up BES account and BIS account on same bberry...is it even possible?

its easy to do. activate BES, then go to your BIS site and sign up there. unless its been disabled by the IT admin you wont have any issues
