Hey I recently bought my BB 8310 and I completely love it. The only problem is I didn't get the BB service with it because I thought $30 a month was a bit steep, so currently I have unlimited txting and i use it for that.
I really want to be able to surf the web and use things such as AIM and GMaps, i was wondering if i could use ATT's MEdia Net Unlimited plan and just use Opera Mini to surf the web.

I think with any regular phone this would be considered the unlimited internet plan to get...

I feel this is a much better option for me because its only $15 and i dont need email since i can just log onto gmail.com or use the gmail app

yes, but ""supposedly"" it wont work for too long, and you will be charged for using the wrong plan. Thats what they say, but truth??? Doubt it.

yes you would be subject to additional charges with the wrong data plan have seen a 1200 dollar bill because of it. "but I have unlimited data" yes sir you do but not the proper one for the Blackberry we are unable to credit it as it is in the notes that you were informed of this.

pfft, 1200$ isnt much at all. ive seen over 24000. that was funny. the parents just paid it like it was nothing though.

the parents used a credit card in store, and walked out not saying a word. the area is one of the richest in the country though, all the people there are ridiculously rich.

I'm confused on this too. I had an 8700 with no data plan. I now have an 8300 and want a data plan. I am an existing at&t customer so which plan do I need? I want to have unlimited internet access and recieve personal email. Can I just call them and they set me up with the right plan?

Yes, but if i dont want email and i just want to be able to use data with 3rd party app's, can i get their 15 dollars a month plan....
