I ordered the X2 along with the cutters and it works perfectly in my 8300.

I tested it on my 8310 as well, but it does not work on the 8310 for some reason. I get a "SIM Error" message on the 8310.

Not sure why it would work on the 8300 but not the 8310 :(

Okay, I just received the D2 and can't figure out how to install it. I put the side without the metal under my sim card in the regular sim card slot, and then had to fold the rest of it to fit under the battery. But my phone says Sim Card Error. What am I doing wrong, or what do I need to do? Thanks.

I have a user that spends half of his time in China and the other half back here in Australia. Does anyone know if the Duosim will work with BES on both sims with the two different carriers. One being a Chinese sim and the other Australian. Lets assume that the device is unlocked.

So, to slightly revise earlier questions:

I would like to get my blackberry service overseas, but make phone calls using a locally-purchased sim card (which is cheaper than my US provider's international service).

Can this e-bay dual sim-trim the sim solution work for me? I like the email/web of BB, I just don't like paying multiple $ a minute to make calls in Eastern Europe.

There was a thread somewhere else on this, but it was closed, so I never could follow up.

I think BES will only work on 1 sim, and you have to switch back and forth to download the emails.
