Talking Are Scratches just a badge of Honor?

Please Login to Remove!

Well, I will admit that this is a stupid post...

I got large scratch on my 7290? I suppose that since is over the device will really get used more. The "new" has worn off. I have only had my device a month. Oh yea, it appears that the scratch came from the plastic belt clip sliding it in and out.

Are scratches like a badge of honor showing that is a device that is being used daily and not treating it gently?

Just had to get this out...

nearly all of ours the front face next to "blackberry" is roughed up from going in and out of the holster. Not to mention various drops, crushes, spills, splats and everything else that happens to them.

It is my personal device. I figured it would happen some time, just not so soon.

I have had PocketPCs, Palms, and various phones. I always treated these devices like you were carrying an egg in pocket. When I got my BB I told my self just use it, don't baby it...

It wouldn't be so bad if it were the black plastic, I have a t-mo version.

Scratch's and gouge's are a sign of durability. When you see a hammer that is obviosly well used, you know it's made it through some rough times, when I look at my 6280 at home I can recall most of the places I have dropped it and what I have put it through. Although it's only used for testing and such right now it still reminds me of the abuse I have put it through.

I do however have my 7290 in one of the Speck skintights and I can't say enough good about it. It took me nearly a month to get used to the rubber above and below the keypad, but all in all, I wouldn't give it up for the world.

cd.

I use a horizontal leather case originally designed for the IPAQ through T-Mobile, it is extremely soft leather and offers no resistance. My BB is scratch free. I know that after such an investment and the fact that it is bound to happen that I should be expecting it, but darn it if I am not going to try my darnest to delay it as much as I can. (BTW I picked up the case from E-bay for $11.00)

Will the SpeckProducts skintight case fit my 7250? The product page (http://www.speckproducts.com/bb7290.html) says it's for the 7230/7290.

Excellent. Thanks Ominx. Now the only question is what color I should get for my black 7250! I think the clear one might look cool.

All i do is slap a screen protector to it and let it ride the waves...every single device with an LCD screen thats what i do, because you can take care of the screen but scratches and scuffs anywhere else are INEVITABLE!
