When Users go to view folders on their BB where you should see the name of the users mailbox you see strange letters/numbers. Any idea whats going on?

Yes everything works correctly just does not show the name of the mailbox. Its more of a annoyance to my users. I doesnt bother me but I just get complaints from people.

If you have access to Desktop Manager, connect a handheld up and open the Backup/Restore app.

Go to Advanced

It should load all the handheld databases on the.. right.. I believe.

Find these two databases
Folders (might just be Folder)
Folder ID

Highlight each, and click Clear.

Disconnect the handheld.

In a few minutes it should generate the folder list again from the server and send to the handheld.

I'd say wait about 10 and then check the folders again.

Huh... ok..

Give us all the versions of your software.. Exchange, BES, handhelds, etc.

Are you seeing any warnings/errors in the event viewer on your BES? Anything mentioning folder rescan?

Eck... GroupWise...

Well that could be anything. My experience with GroupWise is pretty much non-existent.

Yeah it shows the name correctly on the BES. No other flaws at all just the display name in the folder view. Makes me laugh that out of all that could be wrong the users complain that their name is all wacked. Ill just say its a security feature. ;)
