I have a BB Pearl 8100. Some months ago I changed the OS from 4.2.0.64 to 4.2.1.96 with help from the forums. I haven't been able to find those original instructions.
I now need to reinstall the original OS (4.2.0.64) but I can't find it.
1) Does anyone know where I can find it?
2) Can anyone give me detailed instructions on how to remove the existing OS and reinstal with the original older version?

Backup your device. Use JL_Cmder (link in my signature) to wipe the OS. Download and reinstall what ever OS you want to apply.
