Angry "Sent from my BlackBerry® wireless handheld" message

Please Login to Remove!

How do I get rid of this friggin' message?
I'm using an 8830 on a BES (I'm the administrator) and am on the Alltel network.

Have I missed the obvious?

Assuming your device is activated on the BES, you can do it from the device:

Click on Messages -> Options -> Email Settings -> Auto Signature (update what's in the Auto Sig box).

I've tried all of the obvious stuff, to no avail. The auto-sig option doesn't exist in the email "Message Service" option that I use for my RoadRunner account. The BES account works fine.

GO to your BIS account on a PC and change it there.

The Anti-Moronxxx8482; software on my PC went crazy when I started to read your post...

I did a search, but couldn't seem to come up with the correct syntax to find other posts.

But thanks for the comment, ******.

Relax CRW, we didn't know it was your BIS signature that needed changing...you mentioned you were the BES admin and didn't say anything about BIS.

Dawg is correct - you need to change your BIS email signature from the BIS website.

When you log into your BIS account click on the 'Edit' link (way over to the right) for the email account(s) you have set up. The next page that opens has a Signature box you can edit.

Sorry. I didn't like the "anti-moron" comment.

Then I realized he wasn't just aiming at me, but everyone in general. My bad.

Both of you please stand down. The question has been answered.

No, I don't think we'll make this a sticky, Dawg. If we made sticky's for every question asked multiple times, we'd need a Sticky Forum.

Oh, wait that's what Main Page - BlackBerryFAQ is for

Juwaack I just read through the FAQs and there isnt anything there about the signature.

Thats why I said a sticky becuause this is the most frequently asked question next to the Can I use this BB I found.

It is a pretty common question asked here. IMO, it would be a nice addition to the FAQ's.

Default BIS Email Website Not Accesible via HTML Browser

I have been unsuccessful in changing the default signature. When I follow the log into the BIS website, I receive an error message "Your account is not accessible via HTML browser. Please use your device to access Blackberry Internet Service." However, after I log on through my device and attempt to click the hyperlink next to my signature for editing, I encounter a HTTP Error 404: Not Found.

Any suggestions?

Default BIS Website Problem Solved

I managed to find a knowledgeable tech support person via the ATT online support option that solved my problem. Apparently my account was corrupted and I couldn't access it via the web. They were quickly able to restore it. All good again.
