Default When swapping device models for a user..

Please Login to Remove!

Hey Guys,

When swapping device models for a user, should you dfelete there profile on the BES and recreate it?

OR

Can you just leave it there?

I have always deleted the profile when changing device models for users. But im not sure if this is nessacary or not. I think if i rerember correctly i had problems with activation if i didnt do this.

Cheers

I just leave it and do another EA, everything pulls down to the new device just fine.

I rarely have to remove / re-add users on the BES when they get new devices (and I've deployed a LOT of new devices over the past few months).

Typically I just set the activation password, run the EA, and it works.

Removing the user forces them to set up all the options again that they customized on their other device (font type and size, email reconiciation, auto signature, etc. etc). That's why I only do it in extreme cases.

Thanks guys

I will try this from now on.

Having the user put this stuff back is a pain
