Upgraded BlackBerry 8700R running v4.2.1.107 (Platform 2.3.0.84).
Since this is my backup unit, I may not really notice any changes.

No Issues Noted, flawless upgrade.
Total Installation Time: 38 minutes

It also doesn't fix the Bluetooth dropping problem...I'm downgrading instead of upgrading...

Default Can't use Profiles !!! Help !!!

1. I did upgrade for my friend's 8700 and can't access profiles even by using left convinience key. Icon is there and looks active but pushing the scroll has no effect.
Don't know anything about 8700 except that upgrade was succesfull
2. Can he still unlock 8700 just by pressing right key only once without * "send" (it was like that in 4.0)
Please help

1. Not sure why profiles wouldn't be accessible. That's a new one. I'd try pulling the battery and rebooting the device.

2. Unlock has changed. You can no longer simply push the trackwheel to unlock. Just the way it is and can't be changed. Sorry.

I have tried over and over to install the 4.2 OS on the BB. I have downloaded the file 8700M_PBr4[1].2.1_rel108_PL2.3.0.59_A4.2.1.66_Telefonica_Venezu ela. I installed it and open the desktop manager but nothing happens. I opened the App loader and nothing happens. I don´t get that upgrade option that you should get when opening the desktop manager after the installation. Please let me know what I can do. Thanks

rcagu335, please don't double post your problems. JSanders answered your question here:

http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...tml#post728544

You likely need to delete the vendor.xml file which the first post of this thread and the one you posted in earlier instruct you to do. Good luck.

Default 8700C and upgrading OS

Will this update work for AT&T customers or is it strictly for TMobile?

Thanks,
Jeff

When I go to the link from the first post it takes me to TMobiles page that has different countries on it. There is not one for the US on the United Kingdom? When you go to that one it ask for a login and password. Someone please help?

Thanks,
Jeff
