Blackberry ... we need to talk.
Please Login to Remove!
Hi Blackberry, it's Mark. Thanks for calling me back. I was hoping we'd have a chance to talk.
You see, I've been thinking a lot lately about the nature of our relationship and, frankly, it isn't working for me right now.
Please, let me explain. We've been together for 4 years now and you've been a terrific companion. You've stuck with me through difficult times and helped me reach out and discover new things in my life. I still remember the first time we checked a word document in the backseat of my car.
No, no, no. It's not you ... it's me. I've changed.
Why? Do we really have to do this? Do you really want to know why?
Fine. I've met someone else. There. It's out on the table. Do you feel better now?
Her name? Don't make me do it. It just doesn't matter. It's not about anyone new.
Stop asking me for a name! See, you always do this. You've never trusted me. You never listen to MY needs. You think that a handy scroll wheel and a full QWERTY keyboard was all I needed? I WANT MORE! Yes, I know you can open a Word document. We've been doing that same move everyday for 4 years. What more do I need? How about full access to PDF files?!
iPhone! iPhone!. Yes, she's an iPhone. There. Are you happy now? Why do you always smother me?!
Oh, there you go again ... start making rude comments about any possible competition. No, she's not a technology whore. I happen to think she is tasteful. Sure, she has a lot of sexy features but my coworkers think she is amazing and I happen to agree. No, my coworkers have not used her before me. She told me she was straight out of the box. New. Fine, don't believe me. I don't need your approval anymore.
What does she give me that you don't? See, there you go again. Don't make me answer such hurtful questions. Don't make ME hurt YOU.
Stop it. I don't want to do this anymore. I am so tired.
No, this is not like the fling I had with the Motorola. This is different. The Motorola just came on to me out of nowhere ... and it was a mistake. I thought you forgave me for that but I guess you still can't see past my flaws. I have needs!
iPhone is different ... she is the real thing. She has 8 gigs of memory, iTunes, video, room for thousands of pictures, wifi, and youtube on demand. She even has Super Mario Brothers built into her.
Oh, and she lets me have ringtones. Yes, ringtones. For years I have let you emotionally abuse me by refusing to let me have age-inappropriate ring tones. You know what, if an almost-30 year old man wants to have "Bootylicious" play loudly when called during a Board of Directors meeting, I damn well better get "Bootylicious!"
Stop playing with my mind. It's over! Stop calling me, stop texting me, and for the love of Pete, please stop calling me with your monophonic rings! Grow up.
We had a good run. I wish only the best for you. You are really nice girl and I know you'll find someone who will appreciate you for who you are. I just can't be that guy anymore.
Anyways, thanks for talking with me. I hope we can stay friends. In fact, why don't we go in the bedroom and make one last phone call ... just for old time's sake.

Hahahaha! You crazy.
It is just lust, though. Once you need that stable relationship again, she will be waiting for you.

She's a looker but she is going to be high maintenance!! Watch when you feel the need to charge her battery and she wants a new one....she won't even speak to you for weeks while she goes in for surgery....all of those breathless whispers of third party applications nothing but pillow talk....
Hopefully your mid-life crisis won't last long.... ![Smiley](http://www.blackberryforums.com/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

I notice my Curve is looking at me funny after I read that and chuckled. So I say to it:
Hey, I made a commitment, and I plan to honor it. But when those two years are up? Gee, let's ask the RAZR that YOU replaced how that all worked out... Now go get my email!

There's some good humor in it, but have you looked at the mePhone versus the Pearl or Curve?

Cute, but it sounds like you need to make the choice if you're still hanging around and writing long letters to her.

After a few romps in the sack, you'll come to appreciate what you had in your Blackberry.

I had a fling with an Iphone just to be sure. Kept pushing the wrong buttons. Corrected me on every single word. Happened to be the right words, but geez every single word? Who can live like that?

I bought an iPhone for my wife recently. Kinda like letting her do the pool boy. Hey, it's not my bag, but I won't condemn somebody if it's their thing.

Let me find out you have that as your main ringtone
But yeah, to the OP, the 8700 series can get ringtones just fine. Not a whole lot of them, but it is possible to get them.

This hasn't been easy for me. Just this morning she showed up with a love song mix tape. Pathetic.
